The most important aspect of derivatives is to move from the shackles of theory and understand how it is applied to solve problems in the real financial world.
Our approach in Advanced Derivatives course is to take from basics and explore some of advanced applications of derivatives. The approach will involve multi instrument (Equities, FX, Commodities and Interest Rates) across multiple application areas like Hedge Funds, Asset Management, Risk Management and Speculation by Banks, Financial Institutions and Central Banks. We will see how traders see derivatives. We will understand its structures, need and how various users see derivatives and apply them. We will understand intricacies of options, swaps and their variants. Derivatives are very long term products and it is also important to understand the risks it makes the holders face. We will also see derivatives from the Chief Risk Officer and from Head of Settlements perspective. We will examine several case studies and will take a holistic view of the benefits such instruments bring to their holders and at the same time also become dangerous.
We will also see where the world as a whole is moving with respect to derivatives. There are some very clear trends and it is important to understand them to take a top down view.

Delivery mechanism
It is a one month or a two month program delivered online. Duration depends on modules selected within derivatives. Lectures are delivered online as well as in class depending upon the option chosen. The online lectures are NOT prerecorded lectures. Discussion is tailored depending on participants grasp of subject matter and doubts are clarified immediately.
